【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardprovidesguidanceandrecommendationsforpersonsresponsiblefortheinstallation,maintenanceandthoroughexaminationofmastclimbingworkplatforms(MCWPs).ItalsoprovidesguidanceandrecommendationsonthesafeuseofMCWPs.ThisBritishStandardgivesrecommendationsforMCWPs,whicharetemporarilyandpermanentlyinstalled,electricallypoweredanddesignedtobeusedbyoneormorepersonsfromwhichtocarryoutwork.Theverticalmovingcomponents(workplatform)areusedtomovethosesamepersonsandtheirequipmentandmaterialstoandfromasingleboardingpoint.TheserestrictionsdifferentiateMCWPsfrombuilder'shoists.ThisBritishStandardgivesrecommendationsforMCWPsincludingthosethatmeettherequirementsofBSEN1495.TheseMCWPstypicallycanbeconsideredtoconsistoffourassemblies,orgroupsofparts,asfollows.a)Atleastonemastwhichisclimbedbyandwhichsupportstheworkplatform.b)Aworkplatformcapableofsupportingpersons,equipment,toolsandmaterials,etc.c)Awheeledchassisorabaseframesupportingthemaststructure.NOTE1ThechassisorbaseframecanprovidestabilityforMCWPsuptoapredeterminedfree-standingheight,abovewhichthemast(s)istiedtothebuildingorotherstructure.d)Masttieassemblies.NOTE2Figure1showsasingle-mastmobileMCWP.Figure2showsatwinmastMCWPthatforillustrativepurposesshowsexamplesofafixedbaseandamobilebase.Twinmastmachinesonsiteeitherhavetwofixedbasesortwomobilechassis'.Figure3showstypicalmasttiearrangements.ThisBritishStandarddoesnotgiverecommendationsfordealingwiththehazardsinvolvedinthemanoeuvring,erectionordismantling,fixingorremovingofanymaterialsorequipmentwhicharenotpartofthemastclimbingworkplatform.Neitherdoesitdealwiththehandlingofspecifichazardousmaterials.ThisBritishStandarddoesnotgiverecommendationsfordeliveringpersonsandmaterialstofixedlandinglevels.SuchequipmentreferredtoasliftsorhoistsaredealtwithbyotherstandardsincludingBSEN12158-1,Builder'shoistsforgoods,BSEN12159,Builder'shoistsforgoodsandpassengersandBSEN81,Safetyrulesfortheconstructionandinstallationoflifts.MobileElevatingWorkPlatforms(MEWPs)conformingtoBS7171,suspendedaccessequipmentdefinedinaccordancewithBSEN1808andliftingtablesdefinedinaccordancewithBSEN1570arenotincludedwithinthescopeofthisCodeofpractice.
