【摘要】:Theglasstransitionisdependentonthethermalhistory,softeningagentsoradditivesofthematerialtobetested.Foramorphousandsemicrystallinematerialstheassignmentofaglasstransitiontemperaturemayleadtoimportantinformationaboutthermalhistory,processingconditions,stability,progressofchemicalreactions,andmechanicalandelectricalbehavior.Thermomechanicalanalysisprovidesarapidmeansofdetectingchangesinhardnessorlineardimensionalchangeassociatedwiththeglasstransition.DimensionalchangesmeasuredasaspecimenisheatedovertheTgregionmayincludetheinteractionofseveraleffects:anincreaseinthecoefficientofexpansion,adecreaseinthemodulus,whichunderaconstantstressleadstoincreasedextension,stressreliefleadingtoirreversibledimensionalchange(shrinkageinonedimension,expansioninanotherdimension),andphysicalagingeffectswhichchangethekineticsofthedimensionalchange.Thistestmethodisusefulforresearchanddevelopment,qualitycontrol,andspecificationacceptancetesting;particularlyoffilmsandfibers.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedurefortheassignmentofaglasstransitiontemperatureofmaterialsonheatingusingthermomechanicalmeasurementsundertensionunderprescribedexperimentalconditions.1.2ThistestmethodmaybeusedasacomplementtoTestMethodE1545andisapplicabletoamorphousortopartiallycrystallinematerialsintheformoffilms,fibers,wires,etc.thataresufficientlyrigidtoinhibitextensionduringloadingatambienttemperature.1.3Thegenerallyapplicabletemperaturerangeforthistestmethodis-100to600176;C.Thistemperaturerangemaybealtereddependingupontheinstrumentationused.1.4Computerorelectronic-basedinstruments,techniques,ordatatreatmentequivalenttothistestmethodmayalsobeused.Note18212;Usersofthistestmethodareexpresslyadvisedthatallsuchinstrumentsortechniquesmaynotbeequivalent.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthistestmethodtodeterminethenecessaryequivalencypriortouse.1.5ThereisnoISOmethodequivalenttothismethod.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
