【摘要】:Thesetestmethodscoverrequirementsformechanicaltests,simulatedservicetest,andtestingequipmentfordeterminingtheperformancecharacteristicsofswingingdetentionhollowmetaldoorassembliesofvariousstylesandtypesofconstructionforuseinwallopeningsdesignedtoincarcerateinmatesindetention/correctionalinstitutions.Thesetestmethodstestthecapabilityofaswingingdoorassemblytoprevent,delay,andfrustrateescape,tolimitorcontrolaccesstounauthorizedorsecureareas,andtoresistcommontypesofvandalism.Thesetestmethodsapplyprimarilytodetentiondoorassembliestoandfromsecureareasgenerallyfoundinsidedetention/correctionalfacilities,suchas:dayrooms,controlrooms,cells,andsallyports.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
